Volkswagen and Toshiba Feel The Electricity Together?

As electric cars grow their ranges and become faster off the line, the real race is battery technology. Toshiba/Mitsubishi has been working with Volkswagen to build a new battery type using their "Super-Charge Ion Battery" or SCiB technology.

"Toshiba has said it is working with Volkswagen AG (VLKAY) to develop electric car battery systems, although no final supply deal has been reached.

Volkswagen introduced this electric bike at Auto China 2010. Although it has no pedals, they are calling it a bicycle rather than a motorcycle. Based on the small frame size hiding the motor and batteries, it probably doesn't have enough power to be called a motorcycle by any definition.
